I began my band career right here at South Jr. High School in 1980 when I joined the beginning band in 7th grade under the direction of Mr. Tom Isbell. It is a privilege to teach at my Alma Mater. I have taught band for 17 years, 14 years at South. I have Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration and Instrumental Music Education and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, all from MTSU, where I proudly marched with the Band Of Blue. When not in the band room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters hiking, camping, kayaking, and travelling. You can see me perform with the South Jackson Street Band at special events in the area.
