All About Ms. Michele

I have been teaching for 20+ years, all in Franklin County. I
started out teaching 6th grade at Rock Creek Elementary. After North Lake
opened, due to lower enrollment I was transferred to Broadview and taught 5th
grade for one year. I left Broadview to become principal of School of the
Good Shepherd. I was in that position for five years. Once again I was on
the move and became the Director of Campora Family Resource Center, which had
a developmental preschool as part of its programing. While at Campora FRC I
had the priviledge for three years of also holding a position as an adjunct
faculty member with the Teacher Education Program at Aquinas College in
Nashville. I am certified as a "Parents As Teachers" facilitator as well
as "Strengthening Families". I still participate in that program in the
evenings at the Family Resource Center. After four years in that
position I was transferred to Decherd Elementary as a TITLE I teacher
(collaborative reading teacher), then taught
2nd grade. When an opening in the preschool program at
Clark Memorial occurred I traveled once more to assume a teaching role in
that program. This fall I begin my 11th year at Clark Memorial as a prek
I love teaching, I love children and I love learning. My primary goal is to
instill in my students, no matter what grade level, a love of learning and an
appreciation for the global community that surrounds us.

To Teach is to Touch the Future
